She, against a myriad of obstacles, excelled. It was extermely difficult for a women to be taken seriously in the early years of computer science, and business, let alone in the military.
Grace Hopper was the first person to use the term "debugging" for fixing computer progamming issues.
She was a plain talking, clear thinking women, who was adept at cussing, fighting and drinking, often to her own ruin.
She also developed the first working compiler.
Her invention, wit, wisdom and lessons of perservense should be taught and learned by all, not just those seeking careers in technology.
Grace also created COBOL which is still, shockingly, in use today,
